Use answers to the same prompt and preserve the platform, model or mode, locale and dates in your own evidence. A different question is a different comparison.

A bounded word comparison
The algorithm finds a longest common subsequence of whitespace-separated tokens. It is case-sensitive and ignores whitespace-only changes, making insertions and removals easier to inspect without executing pasted markup.
Text presence is not sentiment
Brand phrase counts show where the supplied name appears. They do not establish a positive recommendation, correct identity, ranking position or whether a changed claim is true.
URL text and citation links differ
The URL list is extracted from visible strings in the pasted answers. Some interfaces hide citation destinations behind linked labels, so preserve those links separately when you need a complete citation record.

What does the answer difference checker compare?
It compares whitespace-separated tokens from two supplied answers, highlights additions and removals, and checks the occurrence of your brand phrase in each version.
Does it explain why an AI answer changed?
No. It identifies text changes. The cause could involve the prompt, model, sources, timing or other conditions, and needs evidence beyond the diff.
Are formatting-only changes included?
Whitespace-only changes are ignored. Case and punctuation attached to tokens can count as changes because the comparison is case-sensitive and word-oriented.
Does a missing brand phrase prove a visibility decline?
It proves only that the supplied phrase is absent from that supplied answer. Check aliases, context and a comparable prompt sample before drawing a wider conclusion.
Can I export the highlighted comparison?
Yes. Download a safe HTML fragment with insertion and deletion elements, or a plain-text report. Pasted HTML characters are escaped in the generated fragment.
What is the input limit?
Each answer can contain up to 1,800 whitespace-separated tokens. The limit bounds the comparison work and keeps the tool suitable for a browser-based review.
